        Lombok is an island in the province of West Nusa Tenggara located to east of Bali and to the west of Sumbawa Island. It is one of the Indonesia provinces and is part of The Lesser Sundas Islands. The total population of Lombok is more than 2.5 million people with Moslem majority. The island covers an area of 4,725 square kilometers.

        The tourism industry has become the second income for Lombok. There are plenty of natural tourist attractions, cultural heritage and arts. Lombok can be accessed by air from Bali, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Surabaya. Land and sea transportation serves 24 hours a day through the main sea port in Lembar and Poto Tano in the eastern coastline of Lombok.

        With an easy access from the neighboring island, Lombok is one of the preferred Indonesia travel destination after Bali. Daily regular flights are served by Merpati Nusantara Airlines, Indonesia Airport Transport and Trans Nusa fromBali, Sumbawa, and Flores. Silk Air serves regular flights from Singapore, while Garuda Indonesia serves flights from Surabaya, and Kuala Lumpur.
